Denali Professional Services was founded by Nick Gavin to deliver high net worth individuals, and multi-million-dollar business owners, a tax forward approach to increased investment returns and business profits.
We do this through consistent and tailored tax planning, preparation, and compliance. Denali Professional Services goes to great lengths to make sure each client is extensively matched with their mission and vision before engaging services.
Nick graduated cum laude from William Jewell College with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics and a minor in Entrepreneurial Leadership, all while lettering in Baseball at the NCAA Division II level.
Following graduation, Nick built his tax foundation at Forvis (formally BKD), currently ranked #9 by global size, as a lead tax preparer on business, individual and non-profit tax compliance teams. In Nick’s time at Forvis, he led the preparation for the two largest tax groups in the healthcare and political industries. These projects included complex entity structuring and tax planning, as the projects included over 200 combined regarded entities.
Then, Nick was approached with a new opportunity by BridgeBuilder Tax + Legal Services to service clients in the Agricultural Cooperative and Real Estate industries. Upon accepting this position, Nick was assigned the firm’s oldest client. He spent the next four years managing the tax preparation for one of the largest cooperatives in North America, a project that included over 40 tax returns and 400 hours of billable services. During his time at BridgeBuilder Tax + Legal Services, Nick led the growth of the tax practice by implementing tech forward and human capital processes to increase the firm’s size from 6 tax preparers to 20 tax preparers. As a result, Nick’s tax team grew to 6 tax preparers and a project list of over 700 total projects per year. His client list featured high net worth individuals and multi-million-dollar business owners in every industry.
In 2025, Nick left BridgeBuilder Tax + Legal Services to found Denali Professional Services. This decision was founded on his desire is to deliver high net worth individuals and multi-million-dollar business owners the high-quality tax service that they deserve.
